Classification Policy

1. Purpose

SAPIEN X applies a structured classification to the information, documentation and software it produces or exchanges with partners and customers. This policy defines the classification levels, how material is marked, and the handling obligations of each party.

These are SAPIEN X company classifications. They are distinct from, and do not replace, national security classifications.

2. Classification levels

Public

Information intended for public release. No restriction on distribution.

Examples: website content, published product descriptions, event material

Internal

Restricted to SAPIEN X personnel. Not for external distribution.

Examples: internal processes, roadmaps, working documents

Confidential

Shared only with a designated partner or customer under a signed non-disclosure or contractual agreement. No reproduction or onward sharing without written authorisation from SAPIEN X.

Examples: technical briefings, demonstration material, integration documentation, commercial proposals

Restricted

Highest sensitivity. Access limited to specifically authorised personnel on a strict need-to-know basis. Unauthorised access or disclosure is treated as a critical security incident.

Examples: source code, model weights and architecture, customer and mission data, customer identity records

3. Marking

Confidential documents carry the marking "SAPIEN X CONFIDENTIAL"
Restricted documents carry the marking "SAPIEN X RESTRICTED" and an access notice
Internal documents carry the marking "INTERNAL — DO NOT DISTRIBUTE"
Software deliverables are supplied under licence terms that define their permitted use

Material exchanged with a partner or customer is CONFIDENTIAL by default unless stated
      otherwise in writing, whether or not it carries a visible marking.

4. Partner and customer obligations

On receipt of CONFIDENTIAL or RESTRICTED material, the receiving organisation agrees to:

Use it only for the purpose defined in the applicable agreement
Not reproduce, redistribute, sublicense or resell it
Restrict access to personnel directly involved in the authorised activity
Store it securely and protect it against unauthorised access, loss or theft
Notify SAPIEN X within 48 hours of any security incident involving the material
Return or securely delete it at the end of the engagement, on request

5. Software and models

The SAPIEN X reasoning layer and its models are licensed, not sold. Unless expressly authorised in writing, licensees may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software
Extract, copy or attempt to reconstruct models or model weights
Deploy the software beyond the platforms, stations or scope defined in the licence

6. Customer operational data

Operational data processed by the reasoning layer on customer infrastructure — imagery, detections, assessments and reports — remains the property of the customer. SAPIEN X does not access it unless the customer authorises it in writing, for example for support or integration.

7. Enforcement

Breach of this policy by a partner or customer may result in:

Termination of the engagement and of any licence granted
Investigation of the scope and origin of the breach
Legal action for breach of contract and infringement of intellectual property
Notification of the competent authorities where required
